This delicious guacamole is ready in no time and goes perfectly with, for example, vegan tortillas. The recipe has 3 easy steps:

  1. Peel and puree the avocados
  2. Chop tomato, onion and coriander
  3. Mix in all the remaining ingredients

I got inspiration for this recipe from From A Couple Cooks' guacamole recipe, but I adjusted the amount of spices to suit myself. The recipe is wonderfully fresh thanks to the lime, and even children like it.

Storing Guacamole

Ready guacamole will keep in the fridge for 3-4 days. Store the guacamole under a tight lid or plastic wrap to prevent it from darkening. Darkened guacamole is still not ruined - the fault is only cosmetic.


  • You can use frozen, pre-chopped cilantro instead of fresh cilantro. Frozen cilantro is inexpensive, and best of all, it means you always have fresh cilantro on hand.
  • If you want some heat in your guacamole, add 1 fresh jalapeño, or the same amount of canned jalapeño.

This delicious guacamole is ready in no time and goes perfectly with, for example, vegan tortillas.


  • 3 ripe avocado
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 big tomato
  • 1 tbsp fresh or frozen cilantro
  • 0.5 lime (or lemon) juice
  • 0.25 tsp salt


  1. Peel the avocados and remove their stones.
  2. Peel and chop the onion.
  3. Puree the avocados, onion and fresh cilantro with e.g. a stick blender. The puree does not have to be completely smooth, but larger pieces may remain in the mix.
  4. Chop the tomato into small cubes.
  5. Mix the tomato cubes, the juice of half a lime and salt among the other ingredients.
  6. Stir and serve!
