If you're looking for an easy and quick last-minute Easter treat, try these cheerfully colorful chocolate coconut balls. They are quick to prepare, for example, for surprise guests.
The colorful coconut balls are also suitable for the May Day table, birthdays and so on.
This recipe can also be easily done by a child, if an adult first prepares the coffee.

Coloring coconut flakes
Start by coloring the coconut flakes. For each color, you need 0.5 - 1 dl of coconut flakes and a couple of teaspoons of food coloring. Mix the color with the coconut flakes and leave the mixture to dry while you prepare the dough.

Tip: I recommend buying each color separately as a ready mix. At least if we are talking about the basic food colors that are sold in every grocery store. At least I didn't manage to mix any new colors from them myself (like orange or blue-red). Mixing watercolors together is much easier…

Measuring margarine without a scale
Measuring vegan margarine by eye is not quite as easy as measuring a basic package of butter.
If you don't have a kitchen scale at home, fill the 1 deciliter measure completely full of margarine by pressing the margarine tightly to the bottom and edges. Then you have about 125 grams of margarine.

Melting chocolate - the easy way
By far the easiest way to melt any chocolate is to do it in the microwave. I would resort to any alternative method (such as a water bath) only in the rare case that there is no microwave of any kind at home.
Separate the pieces of the chocolate bar and place them in a microwave-safe dish. Melt the chocolate with a power of about 700 watts, in 10-second bursts, for a total of about 1 minute. So check the melting situation every 10 seconds and stir the chocolate with a spoon every time you check the situation.
Making the dough
Start preparing the dough by melting the chocolate and brewing the coffee. Then mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Finally, add all the other ingredients to the dry ingredients, and mix them carefully into a completely smooth mixture.
Designing coconut balls
Roll the dough into balls the size of a meatball, and finally roll the balls in the coconut flakes you colored earlier.
Feel free to put the finished coconut balls in the fridge to harden for about half an hour.
Serve and enjoy!
