It's wonderful when the grilling season has started! Here is one of my favorite side dishes, which is prepared by itself in the oven while you are grilling other ingredients. The recipe is a vegan variation from the gardener's cabbage pot.
Cauliflower topped with cheese sauce is wonderfully succulent and works as a sauce and side dish for other dishes. It has a nice neutral taste and goes well with many other dishes.
Vegan cheeses suitable for the recipe
You should choose a mild-tasting vegan cheese for this recipe. For example, I recommend Porlam's Vege Plus (or Vege Plus Gouda) cheese with a neutral taste, which can be found in almost every grocery store.
I have also tried Violife's cheese for this, but the end result was disappointing. Violife's cheeses have such a distinctive aroma that for many the so-called for those switching from regular cheeses, they may taste strange. You should only use them in this recipe if you absolutely know you like them.Tulosta
